Aielo

Aielo de Malferit

Aielo de Malferit is located in the south of the province of Valencia, specifically to the northwest of Vall d’Albaida at an altitude of 281 metres, 74 kilometres from the city of Valencia. The municipality is surrounded by mountains: the Sierra Grossa to the north and east (La Solana), as well as to the south (L’Ombria and La Serratella). It borders the municipalities of Vallada, Montesa, Canals, L’Olleria, Albaida, Agullent and Ontinyent.

The main mountains and their heights are as follows: El Paller (687 m), L’Alt de Tormo (799 m), El Polsós (688 m), Cabeçó Gròs (797 m), and Eixea (727 m), reaching up to over 800 m at its southwestern end. Aielo is a quiet town with a population of 4,743 inhabitants, which increases during holiday periods with visitors who come to relax and enjoy its landscapes, fiestas and culture. You can get to Aielo de Malferit from Valencia by taking the A-35 and then the CV-40 at Cerdá.
